Scope
The world witnesses a huge informational revolution that brings out lots of information and focused research studies. Researching for this information without using search engines is a hard task. In other words, it is impossible to gain accurate information without them. Hence, the importance of Information Retrieval (IR) sciences has never been as important as today in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) era. IR depended only on libraries in the past, but with the widespread of the Internetworking, there was an increasing need for programs and software that facilitate accessing the information accurately and quickly.
Moreover, dependence on IR systems to locate information has increased to such levels that millions of computer servers are now dedicated to running IR, advertising, and recommendation algorithms. Improving the time and space efficiency of these algorithms has the potential to reduce the rate of growth of such deployments and even to reduce the number of servers. Such reductions can cut costs, increase profits, and reduce both energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions.
The science behind efficient IR algorithms is of considerable interest – without it, it’s unlikely that we would have web search, social networks, and recommender systems in their present form. Search systems today are mostly viewed as tools to satisfy immediate information needs instead of complex information environments in which humans learn while interacting with information content. Research on the design, development and evaluation of search systems that foster learning and enhance the learning experience is scarce.

Publication
All registered papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library.
Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, Ei Compendex, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as EAI’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL).

Paper submission
The workshop track accepts papers from 6 to 20 pages including references.
Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
